You do not have to be a member of the Mississippi Music Foundation to submit entries for the 2026 - 2027. 10th Mississippi Music Awards. The voting process will consist of fan voting and Final Winners of each category will be decided by a Review Committee.

The Call for Entries will allow each voter to nominate up to 3 Artists or Bands in each category. Multiple submissions will be deleted. All submissions will be tracked for quality purposes.

Once you have submitted your Call for Entries ballot you will not be able to change or modify it in any way. The Foundation reserves the right to remove or disqualify any entry that is inappropriate or not entered properly into the right category.

You may nominate any artists or group that lives in or is from North America . All nominated artists must have a recorded original song that can be found on an internet site or direct submission.

EXPLANATION OF AWARDS PROCEDURES:

1. Nominations & Entry Fees
All nominations must be submitted through the official Mississippi Music Awards nomination process.
A non-refundable entry fee of US$50 per nomination is required.
All nominations, supporting materials and full payment must be received by the published closing deadline.
Incomplete submissions, unpaid nominations or entries received after the deadline will not be accepted.
2. Eligibility & Accuracy
Nominees are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted is accurate, truthful and relevant to their chosen award category.
The Mississippi Music Awards reserves the right to reject nominations that do not meet the entry requirements.
3. Recording Contracts & Permissions
Nominees signed to recording companies, management agencies, publishers or other contractual representatives must obtain all necessary permissions before submitting their nominations.
Nominees are responsible for ensuring that their participation does not breach any existing contractual agreements.
All submitted music, recordings, videos and photographs must have the necessary copyright permissions and authorizations.
The Mississippi Music Awards accepts no responsibility for disputes arising from a nominee’s failure to obtain the required permissions.
4. Public Voting
Public voting will take place through the official Mississippi Music Awards website during the announced voting period.
Members of the public are encouraged to watch and consider the nominated performances before casting their votes.
Fraudulent voting, automated voting systems or attempts to manipulate voting results are strictly prohibited.
5. Song of the Year
Voting for Song of the Year will cost US$0.99 per vote.
There is no limit to the number of votes an individual may purchase and cast.
Only successfully processed and verified votes will be counted.
The nominee receiving the highest number of valid votes at the close of voting will be declared the winner, subject to verification.
6. Attendance & Participation
Nominees are encouraged to attend the Mississippi Music Awards ceremony, although attendance is not compulsory.
Nomination does not automatically guarantee a performance opportunity, complimentary admission, travel or accommodation.
All performances are by invitation and subject to the organisers’ approval.
7. Professional Conduct
Nominees and their representatives are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully towards fellow artists, organisers, officials and guests.
Harassment, intimidation, threatening behaviour or deliberate disruption of the event will not be tolerated.
8. Photography & Promotion
By submitting a nomination, nominees grant the Mississippi Music Awards permission to use their submitted names, photographs, music and video materials for nomination displays, public voting and reasonable awards-related promotion, provided the nominee holds the necessary rights.
The ceremony may be photographed, filmed or recorded for promotional, broadcast and archival purposes.
9. Awards & Results
Award results will be determined according to the official voting procedures for each category.
The Mississippi Music Awards reserves the right to investigate voting irregularities and disqualify nominations or votes where a material breach of these terms has been established.
Verified results will be considered final.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a nomination and paying the required entry fee, nominees acknowledge that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
Failure to comply may result in rejection or disqualification without refund where permitted by applicable law.

All members of the Mississippi Youth Chamber Orchestra will be given regular opportunities to play in front of audiences of all sizes.  From small venues to events, concert halls and more- playing in front of people will become second-natured.

The program is designed to encourage and reward the members of these musical groups who participate in live performances for a minimum of two years.  Each member who meets the requirements will be given money to be held in escrow and disbursed when they leave the orchestra or ensemble.   The funds can be used at their discretion for future education or where needed.

Members will be provided Master Classes with special guest instructors, conductors and section leaders in addition to group and one-on-one Instruction from Director Peter Whitham, having over 50 years of classical music experience.
